Get to Know Yourself pt. 1(Journal Entries and Writing Prompts)

Journaling is such a helpful tool if done the right way. Often times there are things about ourselves that are hidden in valleys and crevices that we are never aware of. Journaling has proven for many people to be a great way to discover these hidden things about ourselves. When answering these questions remember you are not in a rush. In order to get the most out of these exercises it is important to take your time to fully think about it and write our every small detail you can think about even if they may seem insignificant. Take your time and ultimately, have fun.

Who are your heroes in real life and what about them do you admire?

What is your most treasured possession and why?

What comforts you on hard days when everything seems overwhelming?

What personality trait in people raises a red flag with you?

Write a journal entry to your present self, from 10 years in the future.

What is your favorite work of art or art form? What do you love about it?

What is your favorite way to spend a lazy  or rainy day and why do you enjoy spending those days in that way?

Come up with a mathematical formula to express something you know/believe. (Example: Saturday + Clean house = happiness; traffic + being tired = irritability; dinner + good show = relaxation) etc.

When was the last time you got lost physically, mentally, or spiritually?
